I spent this weekend with Second Signal at a very small vendor show that was part of "Cumberland County Fire Attack School" (CCFAS). CCFAS is an annual event where something like 400+ firefighters take hands on classes in everything from advanced vehicle extrication to fire command. My personal favorite ever was "Get Out Alive" where I got to dive out second story windows in all my gear.
A table at this show is incredibly inexpensive. There were like 15 vendors total -- most selling gloves, tools, safety and rescue equipment. I had one real goal for this show. To learn what I needed for the larger show in Springfield next month. On that front, I was successful almost right away. I spent the weekend working on the "message" and how to deliver it.
I had a great many good conversations -- I won't know for months if any turn into sales of course. I also, nearly accidentally, seem to have started a reseller program. More on that next week.
Cheers!
