I have a new name
By Andrew Pollack on 09/20/2005 at 09:49 PM EDTTechnically speaking, its not a name but a call sign. Tomorrow morning an official email will go out indicating my change from the radio number 339 to the new call sign "Car 31" -- which indicates that I've been given the position of Lieutenant on Cumberland's storied Engine 1. I am incredibly honored to have the respect of these people. The interview process was tonight. About an hour after the interviews (ok, there was only one other applicant) Captain Copp gave me the call to let me know. The announcement goes out tomorrow.
One other thing. Just once, I'd like to spell "Lieutenant" without the spell checker having to correct it!

Does anyone find it amusing that there's a Captain Copp in the firefighters?
