Coryn & Dad at the Koln (Cologne) Cathedral - Some very cool pictures
By Andrew Pollack on 03/03/2009 at 11:22 AM ESTI had some challenges in taking these pictures -- you can't use a flash inside the dimly lit Cathedral, for example. These were all taken with my little Casio EXILIM pocket camera without flash or tripod. Where possible, I held the camera against something stationary and gave the shutter as much time as possible.

One trick I saw that was cool -- a length of thin cable or wire connected to a
bolt sized to fit as a tripod connector on the camera. You attach it to the
camera, let it dangle to the ground, and step on the end. The simply hold the
keeping tension on that line. It isn't perfect by any means, but it can make a
difference in dim light and is extremely portable.
