New microsoft patch is here to [ me option a licensed copy of windows..]

How is this Microsoft "Update" designed to help me, to fix broken software, or to make my system more secure? Doesn't anyone else think its wrong for Microsoft to stick the newest and greatest license validation tool on my system in the form of an automatic system update?

Have you checked your system? I'll be you got one of these too.

I sure hope I didn't screw anything up by unchecking it and closing it. Then it
prompted me to never ask for the update again. I like being notified of the
updates, but I don't like them being automatically being installed...

Well, in fact, that does not have anything to do with automatic updates. It is
simply the question, if you get all the patches or only the critical ones. If
you don't check your system, you won't get patches anymore except very critical

My heart is really broken regarding this subject. The question may be asked,
how can Microsoft enforce, that only customers, that is legal customers, that
have really bought the product do get updates? Or do you think, having a
pirated copy gives someone the right to get patches?

The question goes to both of you, what alternative are you proposing, that
Microsoft could use to ensure, that only legal customers get the service they
need? Andrew, you know me, and you probably know, that I usually am not a
friend of Mickeysoft at all, but in this case, I see a reason for what happens,
and unfortunately I have no alternate proposition as a solution.

Here are some sensible rules for web site advertisingAn increasing number of websites are now detecting when users have ad-blocking enabled, and refuse to show content unless you "whitelist" their site (disable your ad-blocking for them). I think that is a fair decision on their part, it's how they pay for the site. However, if you want me (and many others) to white list your site, there are some rules you should follow. If you violate these rules, I won't whitelist your site, I'll just find content elsewhere. 1. The total space taken up by advertisements ......
