Big news for me

By Andrew Pollack on 04/01/2006 at 12:19 AM EDT

You'll be finding the details out soon enough, but it may come as a bit of a surprise to you that I'll be doing a press release with Microsoft related to SecondSignal. I'm working with the same people who are behind the just finishing "Your Potential, Our Software" ad campaign and have just started the new "People Ready" one.

SecondSignal is built using SOA with Domino and Asterisk as back end service providers and Visual Studio .Net based front end client software.

naw., nothing new really -- I find vs.NET makes a great front end to Domino in SOA architectures.By Andrew Pollack on 04/03/2006 at 10:03 PM EDT
vs.NET gives you a really nice SOA client side build, a professional look &
feel to the installer and application, and simplicity for rollout.

Domino at the back makes an amazing SOA platform on the server side, and
combined its really fun to see what you can do.

Asterisk, as I've said before, is paradigm shifting.

  2. 04/20/2016Want to be whitelisted? Here are some sensible rules for web site advertisingAn increasing number of websites are now detecting when users have ad-blocking enabled, and refuse to show content unless you "whitelist" their site (disable your ad-blocking for them). I think that is a fair decision on their part, it's how they pay for the site. However, if you want me (and many others) to white list your site, there are some rules you should follow. If you violate these rules, I won't whitelist your site, I'll just find content elsewhere. 1. The total space taken up by advertisements ......
