I've been accepted to speak once again this year at Lotusphere 2007, and on all new topics

By Andrew Pollack on 11/09/2006 at 04:54 PM EST

This year, I'm doing a session with Gab callled "IBM Lotus Domino Security Features - A to Z" as a jumpstart. It should be a good session, and Gab is brilliant to work with. I'm also doing one called "Moving IBM Lotus Domino to Linux" which is designed to give you the things you need to know in order to migrate a server successfully and then manage it remotely under Linux.

I'm also doing something new for me. A hands on lab. Check this out and tell me what you think. Would you go?

Mail Routing Mastery - A hands on lab

Routing mail properly is one of the most noticeable responsibilities of a system administrator, yet it isn’t something most have ever had the chance to plan and implement for themselves. In this hands-on session we’ll set up a complete multi-server, multi-company, internet connected environment and see what happens as we make changes. This fully buzzword enabled session includes content on SMTP, IMAP, POP3, DNS, SPF, RBL, MIME, white-lists, local black-lists, anti-relay settings, character sets, and of course traditional Lotus Notes mail routing.

Congratulations! I am almost tempted to go to your session with Gab. Two
great speakers and a great topic versus having to listen to admin stuff when I
could be off having a milkshake. Hmm. Well, no promises, but I'll try to make
it.

Ben, Ben, Ben... the answer is obvious. Bring the milkshake to the session!
Best of both worlds.

Dang, and to think I never even thought of that.

OK, Andrew, I'll be there unless your session happens to conflict with mine.
Oh, and have fun creating all that new content.

Here are some sensible rules for web site advertisingAn increasing number of websites are now detecting when users have ad-blocking enabled, and refuse to show content unless you "whitelist" their site (disable your ad-blocking for them). I think that is a fair decision on their part, it's how they pay for the site. However, if you want me (and many others) to white list your site, there are some rules you should follow. If you violate these rules, I won't whitelist your site, I'll just find content elsewhere. 1. The total space taken up by advertisements ......
